In the flesh

Featured Replies

I went to my local Skoda dealer today in Poland (my dealer happens to be near the Czech border) and there was a new Octavia in a metallic champagne colour. Whilst I was waiting at service, I had a look and to be honest it looks great. The shut lines and overall quality are a notch higher. The boot is massive but for sure the legroom for rear passengers is excellent, too. It looks a very well-made car indeed. I sat in it of course and can't wait to have one in say, 3 years. I've just bought a new Octavia 2 2.0 Tdi with the 110bhp engine so that will be ok for the time being.

I take it the new Octavia is already in UK dealers?

it is launched on saturday in the uk, dealers will have their demo cars in and probably under covers

Yeah, I might call into my local dealer tomorrow and sneak a peek.

Might pop to a dealer on Sunday if I'm not too hungover after the rugby

I seen a white octy on the back of a car transporter today heading into Glasgow!

Spotted one this morning in Galway here in Ireland. In White. Looks well I have to say. Looks like its "quality" if you know what I mean :D

Couldn't get a close up as it was about 20ft in the air on a stand :D

Was in a 1.6 elegance in Waterford. Beautiful car much bigger than tbe previous model.

Hope they sell well

Went into Hortons Lincoln and one in the showroom. So I ordered a one Elegance with Bi-Xeone and metalic paint

Wonder if I can borrow one as a courtesy car on Tuesday

Saw an Octy three in white being driven through Devizes yesterday.

Saw one today.

Looks OK. Quality seemed good. But it is what it is, a safely styled "new Skoda look" large family car with good interior space.

I'm sure it'll be popular with the cab drivers.

I think the VRS is going to be the looker in the range, as usual.

Nope, the taxi drivers are all complaining its too expensive.

Taxi drivers are probably not getting the same deal they got on the MK1 Octy.

Spied a Mk3 estate at the dealership in Dunfries yesterday.

Very cheap deal that was, but that's what we wanted, a cheap basic reliable motor.... That car made Skoda to what they are today!
