Nice...

Well done - thought about a job with Auto Express? :D

I like it.... but why oh why do they produce every single model with it sitting on stilts!!?

Chocks still in, hasn't settled yet? Trying to remain positive, but I do think the latest models do sit higher than they used to!

Auto Express? Nah, he has actual photos of the car as opposed to photoshop mock ups that bare very little resemblance to the real thing! ;)

Thanks for posting the photos. :)

Perhaps the Sport Suspension option would suit you sir?

Mmmm looks good, nice to see one with the proper UK plates on. They should sack whoever stuck the dealer sticker in the rear window though, not too much to ask for it to be straight surely?!

I would go for that is they also offered the adjustable dampers like the Golf & many others. No mention of that being available on the Octy3 though.

No, just the usual Sports option, so -10mm lower if I remember to online configurator correctly.

Would rather just put Eibach springs on it, spend the money properly there TBH :)

I saw one today in a dealers showroom, thought it was a Rapid at first.

+1, fair point, very happy with my Eibachs. Just a shame the 20mm drop is not a factory option as IMHO it's about right.

Looks very bland.

Looks much better in the flesh.

Basic spec in silver looks a bit bland (but better than a basic spec mk2), seen a black Elegance with Golus wheels that looked pretty smart.

Sat in both an Elegance and a Rapid last night at Simpsons....know which I'd rather have, even though the Rapid is much cheaper.

Which D M Keith was that from?

I sat in one today at Trust Stourbridge.....Very, very nice place to sit. Looking forward to the VRS.....maybe tempted :p

What did they get in? The other two dealers near me only had SEs.

Don't know what it was actually

Sat in an Elegance spec 2.0 diesel DSG this morning at mulhollands.

Very impressed generally, and specifically the wee touches like the large elongated ambidexterous button to re-set the trip computer.

Oh, and the Drive/Manual override selector now the more sensible way round

Seats appeared to be supportive too.

intreigued by the retention of a traditional, and traditionally located parking brake.

Yes and a full size spare.

An estate 1.6 diesel DSG probably on the cards in the next few years.

Cheers

Marcus

Popped down to my dealer today to have a look

Must say..very impressed..Build qulity slightly better and felt a little larger inside

Some nice touches

BUT

To get the spec and options I would want..Xenons, parking sensors, park assist, adaptive cruise would put the basic price of the Elegance model up to £25K !!

The vRS is out in june..Shall see what that's like...It just might be too expensive..Shame

You'd want Park Assist Chris? Thought you'd value the finish on your alloys too much :D

I managed to get an Elegance upto a similar price on the configurator without too much trouble either. Big money, however you look at it.

Oh thank the deity... I steer clear of these electronic handbrake things - sorry, but hate them with a passion. Yep - it would strike a car straight off my "list".

What's so bad about an electronic handbrake? I've never used one, so it's a genuine question.
