I have recently changed my battery from a banner one to a Bosch s5 and ever since the electric windows won't go down automatically I have to hold it down to get it fully open. It's only a minor problem but anyone have an idea why this is??

You need to do it a few times up and down so it will learn the positions. Eventually you will get the function back.

Iirc I turned ignition on until all dash lights came on but did not start car I then turned it off and back on again and then held window switches one at a time as if you we're closing them until you here a loud click then they should both be reset.

The ignition part is only when battery was first connected although I believe if you do the switch part they will reset .

This is all that is needed. Hold the switches up even after they are fully closed and it will reset after a quiet click
