Played around with the back end of my fabia on my galaxy note. It's very basic, no where near photo shop, ignore the wheels what ya think of the rear like this

I've never seen the point in moving a number plate out of a recess to fill the recess and attach the plate again in a random location.

It doesn't work for me. The amount of work to make it look any good (and crossed fingers that it remains so) would be one reason not to do it. I just don't like the look though.

Not a fan myself either to be honest. I kind of think that a rear reg plate needs to be displayed, so why move it from the original position and basically create a big blank boot.

If you're into a "smooth bottom", a real challenge would be a shutter that completely enclosed the numberplate recess whilst parked.... And the same for the front.

Pretty sure this would enrage any minor functionary of our councils or Police though... i.e. You'll become an expert on the legal position through practice.

Something for the "show set" I'd imagine.

See through cover over original plate would look different. I can remember a few mk2 golfs 15 years ago sporting this look

yeah smoothed bumper is a bit 90s max power but it's your car if you like and are prepared to throw money at a body shop go for it!
