Mk1 vRS Octavia for sale -

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I'm relocating to a more European location, so i'm afraid it's time to sell my red vRS Octy.

The car was originally owned by my Dad from new, then I acquired it from him just over a year ago.

The car has full service history (almost all from the Skoda dealership where it was originally bought from). Cambelt and waterpump replaced at 108k, the most recent work was a new wheel bearing about 3 months ago.

Currently at ~125k, most of which as been motorway miles. Was faultless on a recent long distance trip across Europe.

All the standard vRS toys - traction control, CD multichanger, climate control, half leather seats, alloys etc. Also had Xenon-headlight upgrade (in the pic below the headlights are missing the plastic covers - i'd taken them off to clean the car, they're back on again now). 4 Good tyres (Dunlop Speed Response) with plenty of tread.

Got a detachable towbar too, although I can count on one had the number of times its actually been used over the years.

Solid and reliable car with no problems that I know of - I don't really want to sell, however, the steering wheel is on the wrong side for where i'm moving to. Properly shifts when you want it to, but on a run I'm still getting between 40-43 mpg which I think is pretty amazing.

Bad points - Scratch on the rear panel (looks like a shopping trolley special - see pic for details). Had a quote from a local bodyshop to repaint and blend in the colour for under £100, but not had the time to sort it out. Spoiler's gone a bit pink.

The car has MOT til the end of April 2013 and Tax til end of June 2013. The current price reflects the short MOT, but I don't foresee any problems in getting a new MOT - its just finding the time for me to get it sorted (although I will of course before it expires). If I do get it MOT'd again then i'd have to put the price up.

I'm looking for £1400. This takes into account the short MOT and the fact i'd like a quick sale.

The car is located in Brentwood, Essex. To contact me, you can either call me on 0041 79 592 8536. This is a Swiss number though (had to give my UK phone back) which might be quite expensive - so maybe text me first, or PM me on here.

Think thats everything, if i've missed anything, or you have any questions then ask away.

Cheers!
