PRICE?

Featured Replies

I jumped ship a few months ago, whilst waiting for the new octavia. Out of interest i just costed up a new octavia 2.0 150hp hatchback against an A6 Sline 177 and VW Passat on drive the deal.

Skoda Octavia- 26500

Audi A6- 24995

VW Passat- 22600

All of these are specced with xenons, leather, sports suspension, front and rear parking sensors, sat nav etc. basically the standard spec of the A6.

Apart from company car users, who may be limited by list price, who is going to pay that kind of money? The octavia is in the class below the Audi, plus wont hold its value nearly as well.

Just to remain fair, the same spec Superb comes in at £21000

Where did you get your prices from?

An A6 SLine 177 with all the extras you quoted is £33300

Tell me the name of the garage and I will place an order today

The Passat 140 Highline with all the extras quoted would be £26000 otr

Ok these are book prices but I know my local VW garage just quoted me £24500 for a Passat Highline estate with no extras.

Think I will wait until June/July for the VRS which according to my local Skoda garage will come in around £23-24k in manual diesel form.

I don't think the VAG group would be too chuffed if an "exec" barge like the A6 would be £1500 quid cheaper than an Octavia

And £21449 for the Octavia from Carfile with the above spec

All prices were from drivethedeal.com if you wish to investigate ;) I bought an A6 avant already, they are genuine. It comes in a fair bit cheaper than an octavia or superb when you take the residuals into account.

In fairness, the octavia had 4k of options ticked to bring it up to the same spec as the audi, which is why the price was sooo high...it's still sitting in a price bracket above its weight in my opinion. I'm sure discounts will follow shortly though.
