Can you run a vRS on 502.00 oil? The manual says 504.00,but i'm sure this is for the extended service schedule. This will be fixed servicing and doing 5k changes.

You can run both depending in which service schedule you are on. The manual is fairly clear about which one is which.

The manual only talks about 504,only use 502 for top up and max 0.5 L

What Manual are you reading, an Owners Manual from 2010, or 2012 or Online?

502.00 is OK.

& considering there is so little price difference, why not just use 504.00

i bought lots of 5w 40 Castrol Edge @ £6.99 a litre in Home Bargains. (502.00)

If you have a brand new engine and vehicle, maybe best follow the Manufacturers advice that is current or double check because they contradict them selves constantly.
