Anyone in Sheffield willing to clear bulb warning light?

Featured Replies

Had a bulb warning light one for ages but no bulbs out (it's a headliamp levelling motor issue apparently) but have an MOT coming up so could do with it turning off. If anyone is willing to help in the next couple of weeks I'd be grateful....

Thanks

Are you wanting to simply clear the codes from an old bulb failure? Have you fixed the levelling motor?

I can help you with that. PM me to make further arrangements.

Excellent - will PM in a minute.

Basically yes just after clearing a fault code at this moment.

Levelling motor seems to work fine with no issues but the bulb warning has popped up twice now when braking with both dipped and main beam on (once on the motorway and once when reversing up my drive. All bulbs are fine and there is no message on Maxi-dot so I think it's a rogue fault code. I do have a 50w HID kit fitted along with +30 main beam bulbs and LED siddelights but had the fault warning pop up before they were on the car. I'm therefore wondering if it is potentially something like an earth problem (had a small bottle of snowfoam leak in one of the side cubbies in the boot many moons ago) so it could be related to that or, possibly, coding for the 50w HID kit I have fitted but Wardy did the latter so I'm pretty sure it should be OK.

Just a quick post to say many thanks to Octymark... scanned, codes cleared and MOT passed!

I still think I have slight problem though as the left front headlight gave out again today over a large pothole and the bulb warning came on (but no maxidot message)> I switched the lights off and on again and it went out...
