Fabia failed to start... whats likely?

Featured Replies

My Fabia failed to start today. I have been doing few and far between journeys in it of late, and short ones at that, so i'm thinking it might be the battery thats not got enough juice in it. Perhaps a week since i last drove. The lights and radio still are still working fine though but those wouldn't take up much current in comparison i guess??

It's dark atm and it's not vital i have it sorted this sec so i'm leaving it till light to have a blast at fixing it. Are there any other things that it could possibly be and what'd be the best way to check the battery because i'll have to go out and buy a charger if thats the problem.... (plus wouldn't know where to get one near by without my car lol)

Jump leads and a friend/neighbors' car would be my first thoughts based on usage patterns.
