"It is that time of year again, the first big run out of the year, the Yorkshire Big Breakfast at Specialist Cars of Malton.

Easter Sunday, March 31st, will see thousands of drivers meet at Malton from 8.30am for a bacon sandwich and a chance to look at some of the finest metal in the North of England.

Now in its 6th year the Yorkshire Big Breakfast has grown to become one of the North's premier multi-marque car events with every kind of sports and classic car in attendance. We've had over 3000 people attend the last events and this promises to be even bigger.

As always everyone is welcome, no matter what you drive (or ride, motorbikes are of course welcome), please pass this invite on to your car clubs, owners clubs, friends and colleagues, it is the mix of makes and models that makes this event so exciting.

Working with North Yorkshire Police to ensure another safe and enjoyable meet we will have a one-way traffic system in place to keep things flowing, please follow the guidance of our marshals. As the event has grown we are also working to provide improved catering and toilet facilities.

See you there!"

Anyone else from here planning to go along?

I was parked near your car last time, but didn't know that until afterwards - it does look good. The car park to the right of the usual exit road is often not full until later. Is it worth trying for a Briskoda group parking area or are folk happier just grabbing the closest spot to the bacon butties?

Do you mean the area the Ford boys usually collect? I tend to go in the first spot that I like the look of. I'm a bit OCD when it comes to parking and normally don't like to be near anyone. It's a bit difficult at the Big Breakfast for this to happen as it's so busy. Also, I'm so desperate for a sandwich by the time I get there that I tend to be more concerned about the queue there than where anyone else is.

Depends what time you want to get up really. I've noticed it gets busier a lot earlier now. I get there about 8:30, but some people leave it 'till 10am and later. I like to be there to see/hear people arriving, but then I'm a bit sad like that.

I'd love to come, but I'll be at the other end of the country, Lydden Hill, near Dover for European Rallycross. I'll try to go their meet later on in the year at that place. I enjoyed it the last 2 times I've been.

Petter and Henning will be competing together. Petter in a DS3, and Henning in a Saab 93 run by Per Eklund.

Provisional Entry list can be found here: http://www.fia.com/news/rx-2013-round-1-provisional-entry-list Quite a few Fabias on the list too.

Anyway, sorry for going Off-topic.

It's the car park opposite that one, on Derwent Road: http://goo.gl/maps/0W4gB The two times I've been that has been half empty at the start of the day, where the centre seems to fill up quickly. Specialist Cars is only down the hill from there, so not too far from breakfast. I was in this one last time: http://goo.gl/maps/BYMiY - it is tarmacked but Streetview is a little out of date! I had to park with the riff-raff the first time I went :giggle:

I'm still planning on going. There might be another couple of Rallyes going too from here,

http://www.106rallyeforum.com/forum2008/forum.php

but I think I'll be flying solo as I'm on the coast and will be coming in a totally different way to everyone. Also, unless you get there really early, it can be difficult to get everyone together. As Martin said above, the car parks on the way out of the one way system fill up later on so that might be easier if people want to group together.

The weather looks like it might be okay too.

Yep. If you're coming from the York end then it'll be the second entrance to the estate. There'll be marshals on the junctions to direct you anyway so there shouldn't be any confusion. The one way system is basically a 'U' shape and the car park you're after is on the last bit of the U on the way out.
