Not much more to add im afraid other than it looked very tidy. Clean lines. I dare say the more it evolves the more it will be "blinged" up but the one that drove past me at work today was lush. Lucky bugger. Was a women driver if that makes any difference.

RR are mostly driven by well-to-do ladies when I see them.

A friend of mine just bought one for his wife and he bought himself an Audi R8 convertible. I do like the Range Rover but not good for me as my wife would not drive is as it is huge.

There is a theme emerging here......women are getting paid too much it seems or range rover discount more to women. Saw another one yesterday, i really like the look of them. I like all range rovers though so im not surprised but i just think the new one has a much cleaner look to it. Pity the advertised weight saving measures appear to be total lies. They claimed the basic model was 400kg lighter but when it was reviewed this was proven to be *******s. Poor show land rover.

I dud prefer the sound of her Aston Martin but it just wasn't reliable enough lol

It's to do with North American lightling regulations.

They need visabole lights on the sides front and back.

So Land Rover have decided on those odd looking wrap around style to meet all market requirements.

If you look at the lights on the new Ford Focus it's the same, saves money and looks (to me) bad.

I think you'll find a lot of them are bought by people earning lots of money through their businesses as a work car, then handed to the wife to run Tarquin and Tarquini to school while Mr money bags uses the train or has a car pick them up.

Keeps the wife happy and the image up with the other wealthy mums.

Also the 400kg weight saving is not like for like.

The new 3.0 6cyl diesel is claimed to be 400kg lighter than the old RR (it's not), but the old RR was a 4.4 8cyl twin turbo.

It also has lighter (smaller) brakes, a smaller fuel tank and a few other weight saving measures I won't bore you with.

That old engine is still in the new model and it's over 100kg heavier than the 6cyl meaning the whole car has only dropped 200kg(ish).

Which is disappointing considering all the hype.

I saw one in the carpark at work today. I see your point on the wraparound rear lights..looks weird. Made worse that this one was Matt Black..did not work for me!
