New Fabia out 2007 (Auto Express this week)

Featured Replies

In Auto Express this week

also a Long Term test of the Fabia vRS

They really rated it as everyone else does

also compared it to a 1.4 rally fabia :D

Is that 2007 or MY2007? In which case it might be spring '06...

*bump*

The German AutoZeitung magazine (sister magazine of AutoExpress, I believe) recently published a Photoshop picture of the new 2007 Fabia:

Toyota Yaris...

Damn it...you beat me to it :)

I'm impressed with there vRS's 0-60

do most standard ones do that time?

got auto express today and its very confusing.on the front cover is a picture of a skoda and the word's 'FABIA AND OCTAVIA REPLACEMENT'

inside it says the car is to replace 'octavia and superb'

whats going on ?

Sounds like a major typo to me...

it seems we always get skoda news in chunks, rather than over the year.... the past 3issues have had news on skoda, then possibly it may be a hint to what geneva has to show us?, i found it odd how they said prices yet to be confirmed??? the car doesnt even excist yet!

Not keen on it myself. To mainstream vauxhall astra like for mine liking!

As posted, does say on the front one 'super skoda' to replace fabia and octavia (a Foctavia?? That would ruin Fabia v Octavia disussions;)

Inside, corrects itself.Talk of the new car being a merger of the octavia and superb into one car to move it up a class size (sensible.Superb as a hatch:thumbup:)

Oops, thread about fabia.Do you mean Autocar mag as opposed to Autoexpress (I can't see long term Fabia test or this article on new Fabia:confused: )

Yes they buggered it up on the front cover.Take it with a 'pinch of salt' in Auto Express. They are the equivalent of 'The Mirror' in newspapers.

The 'new' Fabia is smaller but looks similar to the new 'Octperb' concept. There will NOT be a merging of Fabia/Octavia (Foctavia)

Well if that happened I'd be leaving, I mean it just wouldnt be the same without the Fabia - Octavia debates :D

Hmm. New lights, bonnet, radiator grille and front bumper. Maybe new door skins. Otherwise the same.

How long before Jason converts his to a Mk 2?

More 2nd-generation Fabia news on AutoBild!

And the good news for sporty Fab drivers is that there will be a 3-door version and a petrol vRS. :D

What's more, the vRS engine will be the 170hp twin-stage supercharger/turbo 1.4 TSI...

Also on the Fabia 2 roster will be a 125hp 1.4 TFSI and a common-rail 1.6 TDI. Another interesting new engine, which will be only on the Yeti, is a 150hp 1.8 TFSI. Now if they could replace the current 2.0 FSI with that one on the Octavia 4x4... :D

The sad news is that there won't be a Fabia 4x4 version, even though they will make the Haldex I system fit for the Yeti on the very same platform!
