Are brakes rubbing?

Featured Replies

I'm getting this looked at next Fri. But I have a sticky brake pedal, and sometimes at certain speeds over 40 I can hear a slight rubbing or vibrating noise. No idea where it's coming from, but I can only describe it as a slight hum that isn't constant. Sounds like something rubbing..

Wheel bearing or tyre noise perhaps? Does it get louder or quieter depending in which way you turn?

Nope definitely doesn't change volume when I turn. It just becomes noticeable above 40mph, also I'm getting about 150miles to half a tank so thought it may be brake related? Shot in the dark.

Sounds more like tracking or possibly wheel balance if it goes if you get faster/slower. Find somewhere local that'll check it free.
