How to...

How does one take out the headunit without those metal thingies you normal insert to the sides of the radio. The sony cassete radio needs to go. Buying a new unit soon wife is treating me for b-day :)

My tray below the radio came out pretty easily with a bit of persuasion, allowing me to remove the radio more easily.

I'm kinda affraid to pull on anything too hard. Don't have the money to fix stuff if i break anything. But cheers for the tip.

I used small allen keys, 2mm or 3mm, they slide in the same holes and press back the catches, I suppose you could use anything that will fit in the gaps.

Yeah, no guarantees yours will come out as easily. Most of my kitchen utensils have had some part to play in the maintenance and assembly of my car :giggle:

Good luck with it.

break a hacksaw blade in half, and use the ends without the metal clip bit, works a treat
