Chips Away

Featured Replies

Has anybody used these b4?

I have asked them to give me a quote but would like to hear points of view if anybody has used them.

yep, good mate of the family is our local chips away guy. Allways does a good job, seem to get plenty of work around here in the garages.

I've used my local chipsaway guy a couple of times.

how expensive are chipsaway??, i have 3 small chips on my rear bumper might consider getting done

Thats the key. All Chips Away operatives may not reach the same standard and there are competing outfits so ask your local dealer who he uses to prep. cars for the forecourt and keep your eyes peeled when passing other forecourts for whose van is there. My Audi dealer uses the local Dent Devils guy and he did a good job for me in easing out a boot lid dent.

We use them quite a lot for our company cars, and they always do a good job. When we had 4 cars damaged by falling conkers in our car park last year, they got them all back to as new condition, far cheaper than a body shop.

As was mentioned before all ChipsAway dealers are franchised so word of mouth is the best bet (personal recommendation).

I used ChipsAway on a metallic Black 02 Golf Gti I had and you could tell from 10ft away where had been done.

It was very cheap but then again at PartEx with my current car the dealer picked it up walking accross the carpark......so I guess I paid more in the end :thumbdwn:
