Battery charging light Permanently went off

Featured Replies

I had a 2004 Fabia Estate 1.4 Diesel with a new battery just one month Old.

I've got no battery light when I turn on the ignition, and I am driving the car since last two weeks and didn’t experience any other problem on my Car other than this.

I had a quick Voltage check on the Battery with engine at idle and full electrical load.I could not see a drop in the voltage and looks like alternator is giving desired output to charge the battery.

I should mention just before battery light went off permanently I noticed a flickering on the Battery light when I turn on the ignition, with a like relay turn ON and OFF sound from **** pit(dashboard) just under the steering.

Could you tell me what could be the problem? How to investigate?

Is there any relay or fuse in that circuit?

Is this a serious concern and I need to take the Car into garage immediately?

Any replies very much appreciated.

Broken load signal wire from the alternator. It's a blue wire that usually breaks in the vicinity of the connector on the front of the gearbox.

/ That. The wire is too short, the flickering was the engine moving backwards and forwards making the connection and then breaking it again.
