my price range is around £3000 i know not alot but hoping to get me one not botherd weather standerd or modded as im hoping i can do alittle work on it my self.. thankyou for all the help so far :)

Problem is that owners tend to hang onto their cars as they are so good (like me) and others who have let them go tend to yearn after having another one. My local dealer says he gets several requests for them a week but the cars are too old for him to stock now. I would keep your eyes on this website as people do sell them from time to time and I would trust people here to have looked after their cars better than others out there (well I would hope so)

They really are superb cars, the only reason I want to sell mine is so I can have a car with a towbar...the annoying thing is, my mx5 is approved for towing

You will get one for £3k just keep looking. I paid £2.5k for my 2005 54 on 93k with part service history and it's now on 108k and all I've done is discs and pads all round (£90) and put tyres on and serviced it to bring it upto scratch. I've done a exhaust and coilovers etc but it didn't need those bits. For the money I thought it would be a nail but apart from the map sensor playing up (£17) I can't fault it. Just look on auto trader etc and view some. If it doesn't feel right walk away.

How far are you willing to travel will help some people who are willing to help you look and bored like me.

And thats justnon pistonheads, it not to hard to find one really. There are some more aswell but more miles but wouldnt put me off personally if i wanted a cheap one.

theres some lovley vrs out and about just cant wait to grab me one hopfully il be able to hang on to it for a good while!!!! like everyone else!

Im thinking about selling my black 55 plate VRS,its got 74500 miles,11 months MOT,taxed til end of april, service history, shark remap ,312mm brakes and front rainsport 2 tyres that are only 2/3000 miles old. Passed MOT with no advisories.

The car was a cat c repaired i bought from veedubs in Gateshead just over 2years ago. Veedubs told me it should never have been a c as it was easily no more than a cat d. The car needed a wing, bumper, headlight and intercooler, that was it. He was breaking a black vsr so it was simply a case of taking the bits off one car and fitting on to the other.Job done.

Once i got the car home i still had a wee worry that there might be some hidden problem that i couldnt see or hadnt been told about. So took it to the garage iv used for many years to give the car a good check over, which they did and commented that it was 100% fine and the replacement parts had been fitted very well, 'a proper job' was his exact words. Anyway thats just a long winded way of saying dont worry about the cat c bit. Its a great wee car that goes and stops very very well and i love it to bits, but ideally id like to get back to having a car i can fit my 2 dobermanns in. If i can get £3000 for it il sell it, if not il happily keep it and wait til my other half sells her car and replace it with an estate.

If your interested email me on [email protected]. If not, good luck with your search, they are great wee cars.

Craig.
