Think my clutch had enough and has gone lol.

It is a Sachs Performance Clutch Kit which is supposed to be able to handle 410ft/lbs but it seems it cant even handle around 320 - 350ft/lbs :(

Guess I will just have to drive steady until I can purchase a "proper" clutch.

No luck mate,I just bought a box standard clutch kit and flywheel got it cheap just as a back up just incase it goes t*ts up

Yeah the sachs isnt ideal, take it you have a bigger turbo on it? Only really good for low torque plus the dual mass flywheel aint much cope either!

Running a hybrid 150 which it seems is abit more powerful than I realised, doh !

Which one? I have the Sachs SRE clutch kit and its bloody awesome. Had no trouble coping with my power.

Jabbasport are not at fault to the above defect btw but is where the clutch came from originally.

My clutch was dying last year, i just converted it to a valeo single mass. Doesn't chatter at all, top job and can handle the power (Y)

I'm gonna go for a Helix eventually, Unit 18 are doing decent deals on them fitted. Just waiting for my current clutch to die, I'v had it slip once or twice but on the whole its still pretty strong.

Mardigras motorsport are the main helix dealers in the uk, you can opt for a paddle clutch plate if you want to go crazy with the torque, but you lose the driveability

Alright guys, the Helix is nice but...

We are currently working with Competition Clutch in America and will be launching a clutch in the summer that will be able to take a 80% increase in torque with a organic drive plate... We will also have a paddle clutch kit that should take a increase of roughly 250%.

Its been developed and is in the later stages of testing pending a huge stock delivery for the European TDi market.

I'm never buying a US clutch again. My "600 lb.ft" (at the wheels) clutch couldn't even cope with under 400 lb/ft of torque (at the crank)....
