Anti Roll Bar Upgrade

Featured Replies

Looking at changing both the front and rear anti roll bars for upgraded units on my Mk2 VRS Octy looking at Whiteline.

How does this affect the day to day ride?

Am I likely to rattle my teeth out or is ist quite a refined mod?

As far as I'm aware, the general ride isn't affected as the springs & dampers do the same job.

In cornering / turning you will notice all sorts of differences to the ride (more level, better grip, less roll, etc.)

There are more experienced people on here than me that could give much more info.

Pointless changing the front, the rear makes a massive difference and as said its not a damping effect more to stop body roll.

Give Graeme a bell at GNJ Motorsport.

ARBs IM are the best mod you can do. I literally see no downsides to it.

You'll notice the rear bar more than you will a front, but doing both is definitely better than just doing th rear.

Something to bear in mind, IMO of course. The ARBs were designed to be used on the Mk5 Golf GTI. Consider the fact the Octavia vRS has a much heavier rear end so will need a stiffer bar to counter act the extra weight it has over the back axle. I had the eibach kit and found the bar wasnt substantial enough and in ndsiht wish I had bought the H&R or BSH kits that have the stiffer rear bars available.
