Mark I fabia vRS blowing its temp sender (Vid)

Featured Replies

didn't really know which section to post this in, as it was at the WSM meet and I own a fabia II vrs (the camera car in this vid) but its a mark I blowing up (well not really blowing up! lol) so though you peeps might enjoy it most :) (well at least Hayden will find it in this section ;) ) I'll put links in fabia II and the WSM meet...

annnyyhwoo... was following Haydent to the motor museum and accelerating up the hill, it went pop!

we (well hayden and zenya) fixed it at the side of the road utilising the elephant mod, so plugging the hole left by the temp sender with a hose, two jubilee clips and a 'stop' to make it watertight, some more water in, and away we went... bloody lucky ;)

Not looking too good, were you pushing him a bit?

yeah, just needs a new clip to secure the temp sender and some new coolant and jobs done :) hayden bodged it at the side of the road and got it going again.....

And here's the bodge that got me on my way

The clip for the coolant temp sensor had somehow shaken loose causing the sensor to fall out. Picked up a new clip and O-ring from vw for all of £2.04 :D
