Windscreen delamination?

Featured Replies

Whilst washing my Citigo a couple of weeks ago I noticed the lower edge of the windscreen starting to turn white. This I know is the water creeping in between layers of the screen, had it before on a Vauxhall. It's not really got any worse but guessing around 1-2mm on the edge of the screen is going white.

Warranty claim if it gets any worse?

Yeah, definitely get it down to the dealers!

Welcome to Skoda.

This has been (and continues to be) an issue on the Octavia for years.

Not limited to skoda

when I fitted cruise control to a 2013MY Vw polo I had to run a wire to the ecu and most of the lower edge of the screen was milky

my old golf was the same

Its the same on my yeti, the Octy and our old fabia.

On the fabia it affected all round the rear window too. It was 6 years old though.

I suppose its just one of those things with glued on screens as the edges are exposed.

All the same I'm keeping a watchful eye on it, if it gets worse it will be reported to Skoda.
