stereo turning on by itself ?

Featured Replies

Well my car is only 4 days old and think I might have a problem. Three times today I have went to the car to find that the stereo has stiched itself on whilst the car was locked unattended.

It's a bolero head unit and the only thing that has changed today is that I have stuck an sd card in the slot.

Is this a known issue ?

I had this with an MMC card (slightly thicker than SD from memory) and I thought someone close by was playing some really good music at their house party!

I'm sure it's to do with the slight variance in size of the card and the slight movement against the contacts as the car's interior cools down. Try reseating the card or copying the contents to a different one.

Thanks, that might well be the problem! Its an sd card adapter with a micro sd slotted in that I am using at the minute until my 32gb card arrives in the post.

I will stop using the card slot and try then.
