Yes I could read the manual, but I can't be bothered to go and do so. If anyone knows the answer off the top of their heads I would really appreciate it. Search didn't bring up a specific enough answer after a few min hunting around either. Please don't attack me!

Car had it's first service (Variable) it was just before it was 2 years old and under mileage limit. They have reset the service thing it seems, but my question is how long does it take to establish how many days/miles until it is needed?? Car was serviced a month ago almost and has done about 250 miles since (in a oner 2 days ago), as I have been until then unable to drive following an operation.

Anyone know when it will make its mind up? Still displays ----- days and ------ miles.

It depends on the mileage rather than time.

300-500 miles rings a bell.

There was a thread on here asking the same thing a few months back....

I think it depends on how the car is driven. Certainly, when I check mine via maxidot it can give different readings as time goes on. Gentle driving just keeps putting the date back and mileage up. I haven't tried any sustained thrashing so I don't know whether that brings the time closer/ mileage down but I expect it would.
