Where to find two rear inner liners ?

Featured Replies

I am after two wheel arch liners for my Mk1 1.9TDI Elegance, over time they have become damaged and road crud is now impacting with the bodywork thus (over time) will cause some damage and added likelyhood of corrosion.... can these be sourced second hand ? Needless to say they both need to be good nick and undamaged. Thanks

First get a price from a dealer, then consider if it's worth bothering to source a used part for any saving you may make vs the agro of posting them and the risk of damage etc.

Excellent advice... i did this today and your are right, its not worth it, brand new they are £33 each (incl of vat).

Not worth it at all, my two current ones have been hit by something and the bottom bit of the liner that sticks below the bodywork at the front of the rear wheel has broken off, so any stones etc will be impacting the edge of the bodywork, not much i know but i think over time it will start to damage it and the salt and rubbish will cause rust. Thanks

Unless it's getting badly chipped etc then I wouldn't worry. If anything the arch liners are going to be holding, mud, water and salt - behind where they mount etc.

I imagine if you removed them to clean behind you'd be surprised.

I guess, it was only the fact that the two had small lips at the bottom and now they have both gone, and i can see where stones etc would not strike the bodywork whereas before, they would not.
