Featured Replies

Hai...whats the use of fitting a K&N Oil filter (large) and which one is better stock or k&n (large) HP-3001 ?

Stock is fine. I use Bosch.

So no use with this kit ?

I dont see the point of fitting one that was originally intended for the engine - sales gimmick most likely.

Getting confused with the number of people wasting money lol, what's wrong with standard proven stuff from the dealers? Cost me around £26 last time for a full oil service kit lol

Sent from my Galaxy S3, not a Crapple!

O/E filter from a VAG dealer, very little difference in price from an aftermarket supplier.

Oh and get the sump plug and washer from the official dealer as well, saves worrying about plug leaks after an oil/filter change.

That's what's included in the kit I buy from my dealer, oil, filter and sump plug lol

The OE filter is a MANN item (part number is W719/30) by the way. VAG P/N is 06A115561B.

So you can buy the identical filter from Skoda in a VAG box or from GSF in a MANN box. GSF charge roughly half what Skoda do, for the same part.

[The bypass valve has an opening pressure of 2.5Bar, and it uses the 14 sided 76mm filter socket.]
