No knocking just went when driving along the road

Any Knocking at all?

Mine gave a single knock, only when on full lock turning left.

does the knocking occur constantly or just one off here n there?

one off to begin with, not frequent and seemingly random. we checked everything was fitted correctly and found nothing untowards, but over time it became more frequent, normally i noticed it when parking due to low speed quiet car and lots of lock.

Sorry to hear this,

Is this on a car that recently had a replacement engine fitted?

& fitted at T&P Burrelton, part of the John Clark Group?

No surprise there then.

The Cat should have been replaced when the New Engine went in.

Any other fault after that is not really unexpected with the standard of work that sometimes leaves

their workshop.

hmm I'm beginning to develop a clunk on full lock turning right, as you say low speeds around car parks or pulling out of tight spaces on rounds.

Despite what others have said about my modification being the cause of my rack failure, I dont think its true. The VAG tecs we have spoken to all knew about it. Its a wide problem across the entire platform Fabia/polo/Ibiza etc.

This was caused by them touching the alternator when putting the exhaust on and blew fuses

Thats good news
