Featured Replies

ive seen 1 thread on this but theres a full set up including 6 speed box for a super cheap price and im really considering it as after all in and fitted selling my engine and box i will have nearly my money back ..

are there any details on a conversion

im sure the mounts would be the same as the polo and ibize arent they?

any info will be cool

I have no idea.

But Im beginning to think your a bit mental!

In a good way :)

HAHA thanks mate well theres a fine line between mental and genius and usually both are the same mental unless it works lol

The best piece of advice I can give is start off with a car that is petrol engined if you want to do that

yeah thatd be a good start if i was doing it agian i would as itd make it easier even as you say the little things but for the price of it i cant pass up the chance of a conversation ;D LOL

Yes, bargains are hard to pass up sometimes, but it's pointless buying a pallet full of engine and wiring to have it sat in your shed doing nothing because you've got little to no chance of ever making it work in a car that was originally diesel unless you change a whole load of other fuel system and electrical related parts too.

I stick by what I said, get a petrol model as a base.

As Tom says start off with a petrol. I was looking into doing this, but was advised that getting the engine installed, wired up and running would be close to 3k.
