Rainx

Things that concern me are - surely the wipers will just wear it off over time, the amount of preparation required, and the buffing process which seems very complex, and I guess if done wrong leaves you with a streaky coating on your windscreen that you can't get off.

Trust me, I'm the laziest person in the world when it comes to car cleaning and I can do it in an hour ;) Clean windows with glass cleaner (30 mins), apply Ombrello (5-10 mins), buff windows (20 mins). No need to apply water durng the buffing as you do with RainX either :D

I've not managed to get it wrong either time I've done it, and the wipers don't seem to wear it off - I ran it on my Fabia for a good 10-15k miles without needing to reapply!
