VRS power rear power outlet?

Featured Replies

Quick question probably been covered before. I am planning my annual trip to the UK from Spain in May/June accompanied by my dog. I have just ordered a coolbox to carry her food as she is very particular and flatly refused to eat the last time we travelled. Apropos of the recent discussion regarding the unsuitable siting of the 12v outlet in the VRS for satnavs etc, does anyone know if a 2006 VRS has a power outlet at the rear. According to the manual I downloaded, there should be one, but that just refers to Combi/Sedan. I looked today when I took the car out of the lock up but couldn't see anything that resembled one, but that could easily be my lack of expertise. Maybe they were not fitted on the Fabia hatchback.

If not, can anyone recommend a multi point outlet from the cigarette lighter socket that would be capable of running a 24l cool box in conjunction with a satnav? I've looked on Amazon, but most comments were about running a satnav and charging a phone simultaneously, whereas I believe a coolbox has a greater power drain and could blow the, (usually non- replaceable), fuse.

Any advice would be gratefully received. Thanks in advance.

there is no rear power outlet on the vrs only the estate ..... and i would have thought the fuse for the socket would be replaceable ??

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. I meant the actual aftermarket multipoint accessories available that I know of.

Thanks a lot for the info on an additional rear outlet, it proves my eyesight is still up to spec!

Now I shall have to source a suitable 12v outlet.
