VCDS versions

Featured Replies

Hi all,

i have a HEX+CAN (Dual-K & CAN <-> USB) cable. when i connect it on the latest VCDS version (11.11.5) without a car everythins seems to work, but when I connect it to the car interface i receive an ERROR that there is "no interface" or something like this.

i found a previous version (908.0) that works, but this version does not recognize some of my retrofitted modules (ipod adapter, bluetooth).

i understood that there was firmware update on version 10.3 or something like this, and maybe this is the reason.

So does anyone have previous versions of VCDS to share with me?

thanks in advance

Regards,

Try a genuine cable?!

it seems pretty genuine to me. I received it as a bonus with my car - no software included, just the cable.

how can I check this?

What does it say on the obd connector ??

Why does it seem genuine? What makes you say that?

If it doesn't work with the latest version downloaded directly from Ross tech website then I'd say the odds are that it is a clone/copy.

I'd be surprised if someone gave away a genuine cable as they cost the thick end of £300 to purchase.

It's a fake. The labels on a genuine one don't look like that and there is no mention of Ross-Tech.

Contact Ross Tech (with the serial number) and ask them.

They probably won't offer support unless you buy a package ($99 I believe) but I'm fairly sure they will confirm its authenticity.

Thanks all for the time and info

I'll try to check with Ross-Tech to ensure it is original or not.
