Hi guys I have found out today that both of my sidelights have blown on the car probably been blown for a while ( I always drive with the main beam on so I don't know) the question is I have maxidot and I have had no warning lights come up to tell me they have gone is this normal ? Also where is the best place to buy new bulbs skoda want nearly £6 each. The car has xenons as well if that helps thank you

the FL VRS doesnt have sidelights, those bulbs are dummys, the sidelights are the DRLs, they dim down to act as sidelights

Really when I went to skoda they said the bulbs in the top of the headlights are sidelight bulbs just shows how much the dealer knows they also told me the octavia 3 phone holder don't fit but it's in the car fitted thank you for the speedy reply

They work in all models except the vRS.

As the vRS uses the same headlight the bulds are in there albeit not wired up. I guess the bulbs are also needed to fill the holes!

As mentioned above, as the vRS has LED DRL's these double up to perform the role of sidelights by dimming.

Take it into to the dealer anyway and watch them struggle getting them to work

I don't think I will they don't seem to have a clue will probably take half the front end off to do the job as I said before thank you for the speedy replys
