Good couriers

Featured Replies

Hi guys just wandered if anyone would know of any good couriers for collecting body pannels any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks chris

The problem you'll face with couriers and items such as this is they normally won't entertain a claim in the event of damage. If they're packed safely then they're all about as good/bad as each other, it just depends on the local warehouse/drivers going to/from the hub.

Ok cheers guys il have a check with them :) may just go for a drive and get the bits myself lol

Could see if someone from shiply or anyvan could collect - tends to not be cheap as you are dealing with "man and van" types, rather than companies. More personal touch though using them compared to DHL etc

I use interparcel.com for the heavier items i ship on ebay and never had a problem. Its a fairly straight forward process to book the collection and delivery, and its possible to select from different couriers, such as UPS, City link, Fed ex, etc.

Interparcel "standard service" is handled by UPS and the costs are very competetive, its like having an account with the courier.

As long as the parcel is well packaged there shouldn't be a problem.

Myhermes.

Used to use parcel2go but had a major fall out with them. C u next Tuesday comes to mind.

I use these guys a lot now as for smaller lighter things around 2 to 5kg they are cheaper than using Royal Fail, especially when they discount the price for dropping at local parcel shop which is just near work.

They are all the same and as an individual you count as pretty much nothing as far as they are concerned. If you go with any of the big guys bear in mind that they count clients who spend £500k a year as nobodies.

I use Parcel2Go and choose either City Link or TNT. With the bigger and slightly more expensive couriers, you get what you pay for. Hermes to me are just as good as Royal fail.

TNT used to move body panels for a lot of the major manufactuers such as Nissan, Renault and VW, until they went with a dedicated solution.

You could try parcel2go but these days couriers tend to move simple traffic eg. normal sized and shaped.

Otherwise it's a dedicated solution ie. man and a van

Where are you trying to move from and to?

+1 used them ALOT and had no problems.. they are a broker + use other people to deliver like TNT but get it cheeper than if u go TNT direct..

I find interparcel is much cheaper than parcel 2 go :)
