Rear door lock diagram explanation

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have problems with my rear left door lock which sometimes works, and sometimes not. Looks like it needs a bumb to start working again.

Therefore I would appreciate if someone could explain some things from attached diagrams:

What for are the pins 3 & 6 in the rear door T6d plug socket which connects to the lock itself?

I guess pins 1 and 2 are used for opening/closing the lock.

Pin 6 signal comes along the wire which is coming from what? On the diagram it says 77 ? Than if a switch is closed the signal goes along pin 3 to the control unit saying what? That the door is open so the dashboard signal and light will switch on?

Feedback closed / feedback with resistance - what is it for? Something to do with child’s lock?

Purpose of that resistor?

Thank you.

Anyhow, yesterday I had to dismantle the door and lock again. Once in hand somethimes it was working and somethimes not.

After dismantling the part with the electromotor and getting it all together again, it works for the moment even if I could not see what the problem was. Same thing as the last time, it works but who knows untill when.
