Creaking pillar

Featured Replies

I've had very few problems with rattles and creaks from my vRS but just lately I have started to get a really annoying creaking sound coming from the pillar between the front and rear door. Sometimes its very noisy other times not so bad.

Anybody else had the same problem? Or any ideas on what it might be would be much appreciated.

Try the plastic cover on the upper seat bolt mount bolt

My fabia creaks to buggery, I tend to whack the trim where I presume the noise is coming from with the palm of my hand..it keeps it quiet for a week or so until it rattles loose!

 Yeah I have all ready tried that one but it doesn't stop it, that is unless i just aint found the right spot yet!!

our Fabia creaks by the B pillar, upon inspection it is not the B pillar but the door card! a couple of inches down from the window at the catch end there is a push in plastic tab, on this tab there is a small red washer, remove the washer and the clip pushes all the way in, squeak disappears.

Excellent that sounds promising as thats definitely the right sort of area. Thanks I have a few things to try now.
