2000 (W) Octavia 1.9tdi GLX 90bhp

Featured Replies

The time has come to part with my pampered octy, and move on to pastures new. I have owned her for the last 2 years, and covered roughly 25000 miles in that time, with no problems whatsoever. over these last 2 years, i have replaced the following:-

New Varta 720EN battery

Full genuine VW timing belt kit including tensioners (88000miles)

Both front trackrods / tiebars

Both front springs & shock absorbers,

N/S f wheel bearing

Front anti-roll bar bushes,

Front brake discs & pads (mintex)

Both rear shock absorbers,

Genuine MAF sensor

Serviced including oil changes every 6000 miles using fully synthetic oil

And has just had 4 brand new goodyear tyres fitted less than 1000 miles ago (£275)

This car has had 2 previous owners, with me as the 3rd and has a good, but not excellent service history. It is taxed until the end of april, and mot'd until september. Its last mot recieved 1 advisory for the o/s r brake pipe being corroded, however, i have not yet had this work done.

It is complete with all the booklets & folder, genuine rubber floor mats and even a genuine Skoda luggage net still in its retail packaging. None of the seats or bolsters are worn & holed.

She regularly returns in excess of 60 mpg and is virtually unmolested in appearance, with just a discreet little boot spoiler and some team heko wind deflectors fitted

It also comes with a Kenwood KDC-415UR cd radio with usb port which i had fitted brand new when i bought it.

Recently serviced including pollen and air filters 600 miles ago.

She has now covered 112000miles and is still in daily use, so this will go up somewhat.

The bad bits:-

The bonnet and front wings are stone chipped quite badly, and both front wings are starting to corrode at the bottom rear of the arches. I am utterly hopeless with a spray can, so have left them alone.

The passenger side electric window button although working perfectly, does not light up any more, and the rear boot has to be unlocked and locked with the key, as the motor had seized, and has now been removed.

This car is 13 years old, and of course has various little dings and scrapes, but nothing too serious. I just think it pays to be honest.

You are welcome to come and have a look by prior arrangement, and if you want to go for a test drive you will need to bring proof of id and valid insurance. I WILL BE COMING WITH YOU ON THE TEST DRIVE. If you cant bring insurance, then I am more than happy to drive whilst you sit as a passenger.

I am aware that its probably worth more to me than it is to you, however, i feel that £1395 ovno is a fair asking price after looking at the tat that is available elsewhere. I am happy to forward photographs to anyone who requests them, just let me know what areas you require pictures of, and i will oblige.

I work nights though, so there may be some delay.

Thanks for having a look, but its better in the flesh. When i receive the road tax reminder, it will be taxed again for 6 months. unless it sells before the current tax expires.

I am in no rush to sell, as it has proved to be utterly reliable, and a pleasure to own.
