cure time for wax

Featured Replies

Hey guys, quick question for those detailing experts among you:

I us fk1000p to wax my car after a polish but how long should I leave this to cure before buffing off?

I normally just let it "dry to a haze" before buffing off, usually around 5 or 10 minutes.

Any advice welcome.

Thanks in advance!

FK1000p is a sealant..even though it says wax on the tin

If its not applied in direct sunlight..around 10 mins wouldbe about right

I would do half a car or a couple of panels..then buff off and then do the other half

Dont apply in direct sunlight

Cool thanks ChrisRs. Although your answer leads to more questions...

Like if fk1000p is not a wax then what wax do I put over that?

If indeed that's the correct order to apply...

Because its a sealant, you can add any wax over it

However.....Whats the point?

Its good enough on its own
