Karnauba Wax

Featured Replies

Has anyone used 100% yellow grade 1 karnauba wax on their cars. If so is the finish as good as the manufactures say.

The top of the line swissol stuff only goes up to about 60% carnuba IIRC.......

100% wold be absolutely incredible I would have thought.

But at what price, tha'ts the question....

100% pure wax would probably be quite hard to work with, as it would be a brick of wax...usually stuff that advertises itself as 100% carnauba wax means they use 100% carnauba wax to make it, but it only contains about 30% was and the rest is polymers and that to make it a nice workable paste...

Rob.

I have some carnauba wax based polish from Halfrauds Williams F1 range (Freeby) and it's actually pretty damn good!

100% pure carnauba wax would be impossible to spread - it would be even stiffer than a block of lard. A polish containing just carnauba wax and solvent (to make it workable) should be good, though.
