Decorative door sill covers

Featured Replies

Has anyone had these fitted on their car? I'm considering getting them for my octavia elegance, when I get it in July. Just wondered if it's worth splashing out for the decorative ones or getting the black plastic ones instead. Hope I've posted this in the right place. I'm new to forums. :o

I pu t my car in for these to be fitted last week, when I picked it up they had fitted the plastic ones instead. I was not impressed  , mind you I haven't paid yet so will be getting the decorative ones soon, although I haven't seen what they are like. As for the plastic ones well they are plastic, grey, same look texture as the other grey plastics around that area of the car. I have a black car so feel that decorative ones much better. I had the loan of an superb elegance with the covers and that looked OK.

I have these ones:

Cheers for that. Did you get a price for the decorative sills? In the original accessories booklet they cost

Am i missing something, or is that not a new octavia?

It's not - good point!!

I've got them - they were

The decorative door sills are a must. It is a crime that they do not fit them as standard as the sills are scratched badly almost immediatly and I have seen an elderly owners six month old Octy with the paint almost worn right through!!. Many folk are not flexible enough (or just dont care) to lift their feet as they get into a car.

I did my "usual" when I cut the deal for my car. Once the price to change was written down I used the sill covers, flaps and mats as bargaining chips.

George.

I got mine off ebay. All chrome, front say 'Octavia' back are plain,(apart from stripes etched on them.) They were

I agree they are a must,I have a disabled daughter who drags her feet to get in the car and with the protectors, saves damage and looks good as well

Came free with car

I have ordered them to be fitted on to my new Octavia too.

I have them on the Fabia Estate currently and they really make a difference imo.

Not sure if the Octavia ones are similar to the Fabias (sure they are) but it's only the front two that have the silver mounted logos, the back two are plain black.

And it's £60 fitted.

Got mine from the Dealer for

the vRS comes with from door sill covers with the vRS logo etched in, very swish.

the rears are optional though, and when i bought the rears, i had to get a set of four! (just bog standard black plastic ones)

any one need front door sill covers for an Octy II?........

Arh, came free with my L&K. They do look the business though!

Easy peasy to fit yourself, and definitely worth getting. The decorative ones look good but I think the standard black ones cover a bit more sill. Dealer threw the standard ones in for free. The eBay ones look good value if you want the posher ones.

A full set of black sills cost

standard on L&K

I fitted mine last week, I got the "Octavia" ones and stuck them on myself, very nice looking and highly recommended.

Mine were

The chrome style just looks sooooo much better. I have them on my wish list but at 60 quid they will have to wait a wee while.

Hi,

Can anyone explain why some threads, and in the case of this one, just some pages, do not justify automatically to fit within the browser window?

The first page of this thread has to be scrolled across to read all of it, yet this page behaves normally

If this would be better posted elsewhere please move, but I posed the question here because of the difference between pages.

Does any one have the part numbers for the Decorative ones (or even the black ones)? I asked my dealer about them last week and the parts manager seemed to think you could only get the front one!?!? Need the back ones more than front, so as to stop the "little one" from marking the sills!!!

Anyone got any phots of what the rear ones look like in-situ?
