Fabia mkI mystery locking problem

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have had my second hand fabia for about 4 months now and for about 3 of them, when i have pressed the remote key to unlock, or go to use the key in the drivers door, the door unlocks then locks itself about half a second later. i have been able to get in the car by quickly opening the door before it locks itself again.

The passenger doors and the boot do not unlock unless i open the drivers side and unlock using the drivers armrest button.

it hasnt had stopped the car from working and no error codes have come up when running diagnostics for other problems.

Does anyone know what it might be or how i can fix this very annoying problem!

somebody i know had a similar problem, turned out to be the car battery was on it's way out & was low on voltage. I'm not saying yours will be the same thing buts it's an easy thing to check
