Rally flap kit for a Yeti

Featured Replies

Just a heads up really.

I've been working since before Christmas with a company who makes rally flap kits (front/rear inc.) for various makes and models of car, to devise a set for our Fabia MC (Skoda's own don't fit the arch extensions). Hopefully this project will soon be finished with a market ready product; taken a while with prototypes coming and going in the post, as the companies on the other side of the country (designing suitable brackets being the main challenge).

Anyway I've now been asked to help devise a kit for the Yeti; still in the very very early stages of the project but I just thought I'd highlight what I'm up to, in case anyone on here may be interested in such a product.

The kits mind are likely to work out more expensive than the Skoda moulded type, the Fabia design for example will be approx £65 delivered (RRP) due to the number of brackets required to hold them nicely in place.

Anyway if you are interested let me know,

Yes, dependent on quality and price.

If i still have a yeti by the time they come to "market" I'd probably be interested too.

SWMBO and i are in the initial discussions of what's "next" as whatever happens next year will be a 5+ year keeper i suspect.

:hi: I would be interested Tim, I haven't got round to making my own yet, and the brown deposits left on the roads around here are getting bigger, wish they would cut down on feeding the horses :giggle: . (SWMBO still can't drive round them) they are a bu@@er to get off,

I'm interested.

+1,as the Skoda ones are next to useless.

Yup also interested.

The last car that I made proper rally mud flaps for was a classic Mini. DSCN3300_zps340d2707.jpg

Still got some of the "stuff" but there's no way that I'm touching the Yeti with my ham fisted workmanship

SO

Include me in. :hi:

Indeed, I'll be keeping a bloodshot beady eye on this TP :hi:

Me too, Skoda flaps are not up to the job
