Service indicator - can someone check something for me?

Featured Replies

Hi

Have a 2006 1.9 l&k and is on variable servicing with the mdf/maxidot display.

However my understanding is that if I put the keys into the ignition and switch it on (not turning engine over) and i press the reset trip button I should see the distance/time to my next service?

All I see is 'service now' displayed? The car has been back 3 times to get this sorted and now I have been told that it will only display something when I get within 2000 miles or 2 months of the service. The dealer checked another car and they say this does the same thing. They have also confirmed it is on variable servicing.

I think this is a load if bull tbh as my previous octavia (without the mdf) display had this function.

Could someone let me know what I should see and then tell the dealer what to do to correct this, as I am sure you guys are more knowledgable when it comes to things than they are.

Thanks

no key in close door then switch to stage 2 on ignition engine not running but you should see the battery light etc, then press trip button.
