skoda 1.9tdi 130 engine problem

Featured Replies

can anyone help please, have had this problem a while, sometimes when accelerating the engine shudders and as if there is a fuel problem then drives as if there is no turbo, when you turn the ignition off then back on the engine drives as normal. also sometimes when accelerating in the higher rev,s ie on motorway, the engine seems to lose power suddenly and again drives as if there is no turbo, no warning lights come on at all. has any one had the same problem, or no what it could be?

The loss of power is caused by the car going into limp mode to protect it's self.

This could be caused by various things such as a boost leak , sticking turbo vanes ect.

I'd take it to a garage for a check over if you can't fix it your self.

Had it in my previous car and I was told to change fuel filter and that worked for me
