Civic 1.6 diesel

Featured Replies

I am looking to take a new lease car later this year and had been fairly set on either an A3 Sportsback or Ocatavia 1.6 CR but had a drive in the new civic diesel and was really impressed, this engine is the best Tdi I have driven by some margin. Car was much more comfortable that the previous model.

As a purchase the car looks expensive but somehow the lease deal on a ES-T comes in at £40/month less than a similarly specced Octavia elegance.

Big plus - dealer is 3 miles up the road so no need to travel top the city for servicing.

Big minus - was hankering after going back to a DSG but Honda don't do an equivalent ( and DSG would be more money again)

anyone got any experience of these cars?

No but i believe its a cracking car. Doesn't it have a 10 year warranty ? Plus its made in the UK and not the CZ republic ? Won't win any prizes on a track that's for sure but as an A to B car you can't go wrong!

not worried about the warranty personally as it will be a company lease car but I think it is 90k. The warranty and reliability is probably why the lease costs are so much lower than much of the competition
