Winter draws off, finally

Featured Replies

Yup, frost again by the weekend, but 50-60 mph winds tonight, more like 80 in exposed areas.

Due to work commitments and not having a spare set of feet for my Jana today was the time she was to be re shod with her summer running shoes given that the temperatures were rising and I didn't want her to have her feet sweating risking athletes galloping Yeti foot rot. So I apologize in advance if we get a complete white out and freezing temperatures in the next few days, yes it will be my fault.

Looking at her winter Skugg boots I have noticed quite a few flint size stones and glass chips stuck in the sipes (winter tyre cuts in the tread blocks). I will go round all of them when I get time and remove any more nasties that could cause a flat. For others who like me change to Skugg winter boots in the cold it may be worth checking for some of those pesky flints etc (although I'm sure that you do that anyway)

I guess I now await some response of "Yeti gets more flat tyres than any other car in the universe, must be a fundamental design fault", a huge cause for concern and the sky will fall in.

Anyway, my Jana no longer has sweaty feet, which is nice.

Did mine today and its nice to have the annapurna's back on.

Weather forecast for the next two days had the words "snow down to 600 metres". Doh!

...... whilst here in the South East we're due for 20 degC + today; phew. Its too hot.

Nevertheless, I'm relishing the improved sharpness to the handling / steering on Kevin's 'summers'.

Nah, Onenote isn't reading this thread.

Removing stones from the tread is standard advice when swapping tyres (in fact, see my OP).

here in South East Scotland it's 4 degrees and wet - pretty much the same as the rest of the week.
