Yoko Advan Neova AD08 - 205/55 R16 V

Featured Replies

Hi All

Looking for advice.

I am about to plump for the Yoko Advan Neova AD08, in '205/55 R16 V' format and was wondering what people think? They will be fitted to an Octavia MK1 VRS.

Coming from the Toyo T1R, which was progressive, but did wear quicker than expected. (Was it softer than the AD08)? I feel like changes as the T1Rs are showing a lot of where on the shoulders, normally 21psi at front and 23 at rear, though it looks like these need overinflating in order to wear evenly????

The AD08 will be used for 2 trackdays this financial year and apart from that, sensible driving, I guess.

I'd like to know the AD08s are safe on a rainy day, on the motorway at 70/80 mph

tia

I'm running ad08 on the front, I'm the wet they're rather skittish. But under normal driving I can't see them being a problem. In the dry there great. Warm them up and they're very sticky. I can't see them lasting many miles though. Very much a track orientated tyre.

Enjoy. P's. Why the 55 profile? I'm on 205/45/16

going on an octavia rs estate. mk1

Ok, 205/55R16W is probably OEM since you've an estate.

Your pressures are WAY too low. With the same size and rating, my Elegance is supposed to use 30F 32R. On T1-Rs, I found I needed 2PSI higher all round to prevent edge wear (and so did several others).

ah... so do you think i should give the t1r another go? what tyre can take a days of track abuse, say 4 times a year?
