Hi everyone,

Quite new to on here but been on various forums for a while now with my vauxhalls.

I have had a fabia VRS now for about 18 months and absolutely love it for the miles and the poke it has.

Of late however, an odd high pitched tapping has started to come from the engine, definetly seems top end and when doing the cambelt last month left the aux belt off and it was still doing it ruling out any outside device doing so.

I have included a video and it quite easy to eat the high pitch tapping, maybe 4/5 times a second or so, does anyone know what it could be or what could be causing it before I start delving into it to find something myself.

It's one of those noises that reminds me of a poorly looked after Peugeot/ford from the 90's with incorrectly adjusted tappets and is really starting to bloody annoy me, I'd like to get it sorted before summer arrives and I have my windows down and it really gets to me!!

Any help would be great fully appreciated!!

No one any ideas? Only thing I can think of is the camshaft/buckets,

mines got a top end ticking noise and ive been told it could be the camshaft worn :( gotta take the cam out and check for damage to the lobes. hope you have more luck than me mate
