The door ajar switch in our fabia seems to be broken. The interior lamp doesn't come on when the drivers door is open, but works fine for the other doors. Also the "lights on" warning buzzer doesn't make a noise when the lights are on and the door is open. The buzzer for low fuel does work so I think the dash module is ok. Combining the two faults I think the door open switch in the drivers door is broken, or maybe the wiring somewhere.

Anyone else had this and knows what a common failure is?

I had this and it was indeed the door switch. It's quite an involving job when I was watching them do it at unit 18. Have to drill the rivets out of the door card. The part itself costs quite a bit.
