Discs and MOT

Featured Replies

Taking my car for it's MOT tomorrow after sitting around for about a month. Car runs fine now after the blocked oil pickup pipe incident. Discs are covered in surface rust. Should I steel wool these down before taking it for it's MOT? Also I have stripped the rear out completely(right down to the metal) as I`m planning on fitting a roll cage(just haven`t got round to it). Will it fail its MOT for visible wires in the boot that run to the rear lights, wiper motor etc?

Just do a lot of breaking on the way to the mot station will soon clear it off

As raf says plenty of hard braking will clean them up. Can't fail unless they have excessive judder or excessively worn/weakened. An no your wires etc wont be a failure.
