1) I'd reckon that it is not a safety issue, there will be two guide bolts holding the calliper on to the mounting bracket.

2) Try anywhere that is open today, like Halfords, they might stock "mounting kits" - though that might include more than you want or want to spend. Your local Skoda, VW, Seat dealer will be able to order one in as long as you know which of their model variants uses that calliper. Next is any on-line parts or brake parts places, maybe even GSF or ECP. Plenty parts places on-line that sell brake parts that include anti rattle kits etc.

Obviously you will know which models these 312mm parts came from - if not there is a guide on this forum (I think).

I'd say dont worry about it and just fit it when you get one

When i fitted my 312's i thought they were great and only realised when i next used my garage that said springs were still on my workbench!

I think they are only there to prevent squeels/rattles as the pads wear
