can you hand a car back?

Featured Replies

if you are unhappy with the car in terms of oil useage and future big bills can you hand the car back and demand a replacement

I love the car but having concerns about future reliability, i didnt get rid of my scoob for bigger bills or else i'd have kept it

Maybe. VAG do say that oil consumption of ~1l/1000miles is acceptable though.

Use search and find the other Briskoda members that have returned and rejected their vRS,

there are a few.

You need to go through the various procedures.

Best call your local Trading Standards, get the Info, start a case

& then get onto Skoda UK Customer Services.

''May use .5 l/1000 km' is a figure given in a Owners Manual along with all the other stuff.

Hardly relevant to the known problems with the 1.4 TSI S-A Twincharger and extreme oil consumption with some faulty engines.

good luck with it.

Do not go by these,

But ask the Dealership doing the test by what figures & procedure Skoda/VAG expect them to go by.

I will be waiting until the oil test has done and possibly go from there, just wondered if it was possible

there's a massive oil usage thread in the Fabia II section, which includes members that have had replacement engines.
